Retroid Pocket Flip 2 Retro Game Console

The Retroid Pocket Flip 2 is a clamshell gaming handheld launched in 2025. It comes in two processor versions: Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and MediaTek Dimensity 1100.

Exterior Design

The Retroid Pocket Flip 2 features a clamshell design, with a gray-purple color scheme that pays homage to the classic Super Famicom North American edition.
When closed, it measures a compact 5.53 inches and weighs approximately 10.51 ounces, making it easy to carry.
When unfolded, it reveals a 5.5-inch screen with dual-angle hovering, allowing you to browse guides and maps simultaneously, or use it as a small tablet.

Performance Configuration

• Processor: There are two options: Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 and MediaTek Dimensity 1100. The former is equipped with Adreno 650 GPU, while the latter is equipped with ARM Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It has powerful performance and can easily handle a variety of games.
• Memory and Storage: Equipped with 8GB LPDDR4X memory, the storage capacity is 128GB UFS 3.1, and it also supports microSD card expansion, making it convenient for players to save and load games.
• Display: It uses a 1080P OLED screen with DC-like dimming and a brightness of 500nits, which can display images clearly even outdoors.
• Operating system: Running Android 13 system, with more stable performance, higher security, and better compatibility with the latest applications and emulators.

Game Experience

• Button design: Equipped with a Hall effect joystick, the operation is smooth and drift-free, and it has RGB lighting effects; there are also dual-mode LR keys that support digital/analog switching, which provides a better feel for playing different types of games.
• Game compatibility: AnTuTu score of 805,000, can run PS2, WiiU, and other emulator games smoothly, such as PS2 “God of War 2” at 2x resolution and full frame, WiiU “Zelda: The Wind Waker” runs smoothly, and can also try NS “Mario Amazing” at low picture quality.
• Streaming function: Supports Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5. When streaming PS5 or PC, the delay is basically within 10ms, which provides a good experience.

Battery life

The 5000mAh battery supports 27W fast charging on the Snapdragon version and 18W on the Dimensity version. It lasts longer playing GBA games, such as Minus Cap, which lasted 12 hours, and the PSP’s Super Robot Wars Z, which lasted 8 hours.
However, running more complex games will reduce battery life to between 4 and 7 hours.

Interface Design

The Retroid Pocket Flip2 eliminates the microHDMI interface and adopts a USB-C DisplayPort output interface, supporting 1080p 60Hz external monitors.
At the same time, it retains the 3.5mm headphone jack and microSD card slot to meet players’ needs for external devices and expanded storage.
